Hexion Inc. or Hexion is a chemical company based in Columbus, Ohio. It produces thermoset resins and related technologies and speciality products. Hexion is the world’s largest maker of thermosetting resins (or thermosets). Thermosets add a desired quality (heat resistance, gloss, adhesion, durability and strength) to customer’s and their customers’ final products. They include an array of resins: phenolic, epoxy, polyester, and urethane. The company also is a leading producer of adhesive and structural resins and coatings. Among the markets it serves are paints, packaging, consumer products, composites, and automotive coatings. Hexion is controlled by Apollo Management Holdings.
