The company’s cloud services help its customers — corporations and government agencies — deliver digital content over the internet at optimal speeds and security. With its software working from a network of more than 250,000 servers in some 130 countries, Akamai analyzes and manages web traffic, transmitting content from servers that are geographically closest to end-users. Customers include Toshiba, Coca-Cola Co., and PayPal. About 60% of the company’s total revenue comes from the US.
